My name is Evie and I am a designer and manufacturer of slow fine fashion working from my home studio in the city of Launceston, and the glorious green state of Tasmania in Australia.
I have been designing and making for 40 years and have experienced the fashion world in Melbourne, Australia, but chose to re-locate back to my place of birth here in 2000.
I have an addiction to textiles; my ancestry is from France and England. My grandmother was born in Islington in London in the 1880’s and that section of London then was a hub of creative craftspeople, textile weavers, tailors, silver-smiths and artisans in general. So I do trace my skill and talent back to my heritage. My aunt was also a fantastic designer and passed much knowledge down to me.
I had a retail store for fifteen years, and that was an amazing lesson in learning about the needs of women with respect to fashion generally. I now work online and sell to customers all over the world, which gives me so much pleasure to know that they are wearing my designs.
I kind of have a two-speed business. I do get some designs manufactured in India by a small ethical family run company, so that I do have stock ready to ship out instantly, but the rest of the products on my website are made by me, with some help sometimes from my sisters who also have the textile bug. I photograph my sample garments and then make to order from those samples. Small changes can be made to customise the pieces like length etc, but sorry, no custom making is available.

I am in my 60’s and I do not believe that we have to be invisible after a certain age. Style is ageless. Age is just a number after all, and it is my goal and passion to create beautiful and fabulous clothing for all ages and all sizes.
